DAY 1 -- FRIDAY It was a long drive, and I got away only a couple of hours later than I intended, but I found the hotel (thanks to hubby and AAA), checked in and then searched out... THE BAR. I knew the large group of rowdy women in the bar was the right group, and we proceeded to get acquainted.  Complimentary cocktails are definitely A GOOD THING.  Dinner at Chili's was an experience.  A quick trip to the liquor store, then more getting acquainted.  Many went to bed, to prepare for the day ahead, but some of us did... research.  Yeah, that's what it was, research.   DAY 2 -- SATURDAY Free breakfast is one of the most civilized practices known. (So says the Methos-muse.) Badges, T-shirts, funny hats, and we were ready for our groups outing in Kansas City.   Was Kansas City ready for us?  We met at the Horsemen fountain (appropriate, no?) and got out assignments and instructions for the great Amanda scavenger hunt.  The toy store... the book store... the sporting goods store... the bar... Hot tub. Need I say more?  More free cocktails. Dinner Cruise, which some of us almost missed.  Thanks for bringing the boat back for us.  It was a lovely night, clear with distant Quickenings. Hot tub, round 2.   DAY 3 --  SUNDAY All too soon, it was time for good byes and see you next years... Thanks, Ladyhawke, for the lovely day at the Ren Fair!     Let’s do this again next year!!!
